Nikola Jokic had some kind words to say about Alperen Sengun earlier in the week, telling reporters that “he’s really gifted” and suggesting that the Houston Rockets “should play more through him.”
Jalen Green is of the opinion that the Houston Rockets should focus more of their offensive playmaking on the Turkish superstar.
Following the 129-113 defeat at the hands of the Serbian superstar and the Denver Nuggets, Jalen Green remarked on his teammate and agreed with the statements made by the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player.
“I believe it’s fantastic that Alperen looks up to him. I concur with his viewpoint. Alperen will be handling the offense, and I think we’ll see a lot more open threes from him. He added of Sengun, “I think it opens up the center of the floor for him because there’s a lot of inside-outside game.
Stephen Silas, the coach, also discussed the 20-year-old future superstar from Turkey. “Jokic undoubtedly recognizes himself in Alperen. It’s fantastic to have an MVP acknowledge that one of our players is a terrific player who can penetrate defenses similarly to him,” he added.
